stop: stop debt ALV
In principle, however, there are three ways the ALV bring back into balance: of which increase in contributions, reduction of insurance benefits or a combination. The reform provides for the latter - a combination of reduced spending and higher revenues without changing the basic benefits. The deductions will rise by 0.2 percentage points and is on the uninsurable wage part 126000-315000 Franken also raised a solidarity percent, to accelerate debt reduction. The major cuts made in the reference period, the waiting times and the reasonableness of the work. For example, if someone posts one years makes, he will receive benefits and 1 year and no longer 1.5 Years. Over 55 years and partial disabilities not only 1 year, but new 2 years to make contributions to remain at 2 insuring years. The waiting times to the direction of daily allowances is now usually 5 days. For incomes of more than 60.000 francs to the waiting time should be redistributed between 10 and 20 days, 120 in contributions exempt school and university graduates Similarly, the criteria for the reasonableness of the work will be strengthened for under-30s.
For a No to the ALV-Revision workers and employers would have to feel it financially. If not, the sovereign of the revision, the Federal wage contributions to early 2011 will increase to 2.5%. This is by law required because, as the debt of the UI have reached a certain degree. This increase would come at an inopportune time, as are charged in the coming year, particularly the companies already stronger, namely with the increase in VAT and income compensation. If the employer's contribution considered as costs increase, this could be a decline in demand for labor by half a means to one per thousand, which could easily cost from 2.000 to 4.000 points. Moreover, a decline of consumption in Switzerland expect to around 250 million francs per year. It is questionable whether this is purposeful in in economically difficult times.
I am convinced YES that is right for ALV revision. These contribute to a balanced rescue package, where different generations, and less well-earning Gutverdiendende alike to clean up. Sure, it can not be explained away that approximately 10% of the unemployed are affected by power cuts in the revision. The revision is an important step in the right direction; 1970-2008, the social dependency ratio in Switzerland has doubled from 14% to almost 27% - this trend must be stopped. The YES for ALV revision does not mean that then can be rested and the unemployment insurance must be left to their fate.
